Description
The City of Moline is soliciting one combined bid for demolition and utility disconnection at a fire-damaged, unsafe two-story residential structure and shed at 1627 2nd Street. The scope includes demolition and disposal of the structure, foundation, concrete steps, adjacent sidewalk, and 20-by-20-foot shed; removal and stump grinding of a white mulberry tree to provide site access; site restoration, topsoil, seeding, straw, and erosion or drainage measures as applicable. The contractor must treat the property as containing regulated friable asbestos-containing material, follow the applicable asbestos removal requirements, maintain dust and water controls, package and transport debris to an authorized asbestos landfill, maintain waste shipment records, and obtain required permits. Utility work includes disconnecting and repairing sewer and water at the street mains, including street cutting and patching, coordinating gas-line disconnection and capping, and coordinating electric and coaxial-line disconnections. Bids must include pricing for all listed demolition, tree-removal, utility-disconnection, and restoration bid lines and must be submitted electronically through the City's IonWave bidding system.
