Description
The City of Morgantown is soliciting a contractor to remove existing fencing and install new aluminum ornamental fencing at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park. The work includes approximately 246 linear feet of 60-inch industrial-grade, four-rail aluminum ornamental fencing and 466 linear feet of 42-inch commercial-grade, three-rail aluminum ornamental fencing, with black finish, aluminum posts, and concrete-set posts. Bidders may propose either the industrial-grade or commercial-grade fencing alternative; the final selection will not include both types. The project also includes removing existing fencing, retaining and reinstalling existing gates, retaining undamaged fence sections for future city reuse, and furnishing two new gates: a rolling-style closure near the north end and a pair of swing gates with lockable drop rods at the south end. Bidders must submit a bid proposal, bid security, required certifications and affidavits, contractor-license documentation, subcontractor and supplier information, project references, evidence of authority to do business in West Virginia, and a bidder qualification statement. A current West Virginia contractor's license is required, and the bid must include a bid bond or certified cashier's check equal to 5% of the base bid.
