Description
The City of New York is soliciting bids for a one-year requirements contract to supply kosher, kosher-for-Passover, and glatt-kosher foods. The bid is organized into four classes and includes prepared meals such as chicken, fish, turkey, beef, vegetarian, vegan, and dairy-free entrées; Passover meals; glatt-kosher meals; and packaged items including gefilte fish, matzo, and single-serve grape juice. Bidders must bid on every item within any class they choose to bid on, and awards may be made by class or item. Products must meet detailed specifications for kosher certification, New York State sourcing where specified, nutrition, ingredients, packaging, labeling, shelf life, and delivery. Required supporting information includes food labels, nutritional information, proof of product origin, New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets kosher registration, and appropriate third-party kosher certifications. The selected vendor must provide deliveries according to agency purchase orders and delivery schedules, support Good Food Purchasing reporting in a machine-readable format, and provide references demonstrating at least two years of comparable food-supply experience.
