Description
The City of Wasco is soliciting bids for a citywide striping project. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the striping of centerlines, fog lines, bike lanes, and any other necessary items or details required by standard construction specifications or special provisions. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 23, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Wasco City Hall, though attendance is not mandatory. Bids must be submitted on the provided Bid Proposal form and accompanied by a bidder's security of 10% of the bid amount in the form of cash, cashier's check, certified check, or a bidder's bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a faithful performance bond and a payment bond, each for 100% of the contract price. The contractor must possess a City Business License and a Class "A" license at the time of award. Registration with the Department of Industrial Relations is required for all contractors and subcontractors. This project is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements. Prevailing wage rates determined by the California Department of Industrial Relations and Federal minimum wage rates set by the U.S. Secretary of Labor will apply, with the higher rate to be paid in case of discrepancies.
