Description
Swinerton is issuing an invitation for prequalification for subcontractors and suppliers for the Energy and Innovation Building project at CSU Bakersfield. This collaborative design-build project involves the construction of a new multi-story Science Building of approximately 56,500 GSF, which will include offices, research laboratories, teaching labs, a capstone design laboratory, and a flexible event space, along with outdoor engagement areas. The trades specifically requested for prequalification are Signage, Final Clean, and Solid Phenolic Core Lockers. Key dates for this opportunity include a deadline for pre-qualification packages on July 2, 2026, with anticipated trade bid packages to be posted on June 12, 2026. The estimated construction start date is January 1, 2026, and the estimated completion date is June 16, 2027. This project falls under Public Works and Prevailing Wage regulations, and there is an outreach goal of 6% for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE).
