Description
The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Solicitation for a firm-fixed-price construction contract for the Friant Dam Gate Compressor System Replacement. This procurement will be advertised as a Total Small Business set aside and will utilize Invitation for Bid (IFB) procedures under FAR Part 14. The government anticipates awarding one firm-fixed-price contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The applicable NAICS Code is 237990 with a small business size standard of $45M. The estimated cost for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The contract will require 100% performance and payment bonds. The work, located approximately fifteen miles north of Fresno, California in Fresno and Madera counties, includes mobilization, removal and disposal of existing compressors and associated piping, procurement and installation of new compressors, air dryers, piping, and pumps, rehabilitation of staircases, and procurement and installation of an electronic processing unit (EPU), communication card, gate position inclinometers, and draw-wire encoder.
