Description
Daniels & Daniels Construction Co., Inc. is soliciting a prequalified subcontractor for Bid Package BP-14 for the Pender High School Food & Nutrition Lab Renovation. The lump-sum, turnkey scope includes furnishing and installing fire protection specialties and signage; removing, storing, and reinstalling existing lockers; furnishing mounts and installing three owner-furnished 55-inch televisions; and receiving, unloading, storing, uncrating, setting, leveling, anchoring, and disposing of packaging for owner-furnished appliances. The package also includes tactile room identification and code-required signage, a two-year extinguisher maintenance contract, and an alternate for setting a range and dishwasher at a demonstration station. The bidder must price the work as complete, including labor, materials, equipment, supervision, hoisting, taxes, permits, and fees. Bidders must be prequalified and submit the provided bid form, including base bid, alternates, unit prices, lead times, duration, exclusions, qualifications, addenda acknowledgment, and required certifications. Site requirements include worker background checks, identification, E-Verify, hot-work permitting and fire watch where applicable, lead-paint renovation practices, daily cleanup, protection of existing work, and compliance with the construction manager’s schedule. Insurance requirements include statutory workers’ compensation, employers’ liability, commercial general liability, automobile liability, and umbrella coverage, with the owner and construction manager named as additional insureds.
