Description
Onslow County is soliciting bids for one new, current-year marine law enforcement patrol vessel for the Sheriff's Office. The vessel must be a 25–27-foot fiberglass composite center-console boat with a minimum 9-foot beam, capacity for at least 10 persons, minimum 100-gallon fuel capacity, safe operation in 3–4-foot seas, and a minimum top speed of 45 MPH. It must include a 350-horsepower four-stroke outboard engine, digital controls, navigation and communication electronics, emergency lighting and siren/public-address equipment, marine-rated electrical systems, and a heavy-duty aluminum tandem-axle trailer. The vessel must be fully assembled, tested, rigged, and ready for service upon delivery, with onboard-system demonstration, inspection, and possible sea trial before acceptance. Bidders must submit the County bid form, notarized anti-collusion affidavit, notarized E-Verify affidavit, exceptions to the bid form, applicable brochures or technical literature, and references. The vessel must include specified manufacturer warranties, including at least five years for the structural hull and at least one year for installed electrical components and accessories. No bid bond or performance bond is required. The County may extend pricing for additional vessel purchases for 12 months after award by mutual written agreement.
