Description
Brunswick County is soliciting bids for the as-needed supply and delivery of 50% liquid sodium hydroxide (caustic soda). The estimated 12-month quantity is 1,210,000 pounds, delivered via mini bulk to Ocean Isle Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant, Sea Trail Wastewater Treatment Plant, and Northeast Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. The supplier must be capable of unloading into existing storage facilities using pressure delivery or an independent pump and a one-piece, 20-foot approved hose without modifying the plants or storage tanks. Bidders must provide detailed product specifications, Safety Data Sheets and technical data sheets, a typical metals analysis, manufacturer warranty and shelf-life information, and itemized pricing on the Bid Proposal Form. Deliveries must include an SDS, and delivery personnel must meet the County's identification and emergency-response requirements. The initial contract term runs through June 30, 2027, followed by two one-year renewal options; purchases are as needed with no guaranteed minimum or maximum quantity.
