Description
This Request for Information and Sources Sought notice seeks qualified sources capable of fabricating, inspecting, finishing, and delivering seven unique precision-machined metal components for the 3115 and 2807 small unmanned aircraft system brushless direct-current motor series. Components include rotor caps, motor bases, motor shafts, and magnet rings made from aluminum alloys, 17-4 PH stainless steel, and 1020 mild steel DOM tubing. The work requires multi-axis CNC milling and turning, precision grinding, threading, knurling, tight dimensional and concentricity control, and specialized finishes including MIL-A-8625 Class II black anodizing, stainless-steel passivation, copper electroplating, and MIL-F-495 chemical blacking. Respondents must submit a capability statement of no more than 10 pages addressing equipment, manufacturing and subcontracting capabilities, model-based definition, quality systems and inspection, relevant experience, prototype lead times, and monthly production capacity. This is market research only and does not constitute a request for proposal or a commitment to award a contract.
