The Department of Veterans Affairs is requesting SF 330 qualifications for complete multidisciplinary architect/engineer design services and construction-period services for the renovation of approximately 20,000 square feet in Section A of the first floor of Building 1. The project will consolidate Pathology functions and includes investigation, programming, schematic and construction design, bid-period support, construction administration, and close-out documentation. The scope includes architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, interior, telecommunications, security, fire protection, infection-control, BIM, cost-estimating, phasing, and scheduling services. Major technical requirements include a new pathology laboratory layout and workflow, HVAC and pressure-control systems, hazardous-material and fume-exhaust systems, electrical distribution upgrades, refrigeration, medical utilities, building-automation integration, and a new pneumatic tube system coordinated with the existing network. The selected firm must submit an SF 330 package limited to 30 pages, demonstrate three to five recent relevant projects, provide key-personnel resumes and licensure information, submit CPARS data or project-specific past-performance questionnaires, and address quality control, capacity, geographic proximity, and construction-period-services experience. The opportunity is a 100% SDVOSB set-aside, and the anticipated period of performance is 449 calendar days.
