Description
Forsyth County is seeking a qualified, experienced, and licensed firm to provide emergency-response monitoring, sampling, analysis, and reporting when a major sanitary sewer spill occurs. The contractor must provide all required labor, equipment, and materials; collect and analyze samples for fecal coliform bacteria, pH, dissolved oxygen, and water temperature; determine upstream and downstream sampling locations; and submit required reports to Georgia EPD through the GEOS reporting system and to the Forsyth County Water & Sewer Department by email. The work may involve rough terrain and locations inaccessible by vehicles, and samples must be collected and analyzed by appropriately Georgia-licensed personnel and an EPD-accredited or approved laboratory. The service is needed on an as-needed emergency-response basis for calendar years 2027, 2028, and 2029, with no minimum quantity guaranteed. A typical major spill may require 18 sampling events and four reports. Pricing must be provided by sampling event, Day 1 mobilization, and response time for each contract year. The response must include a statement of qualifications and experience, a description of the typical sewer spill response, the quote schedule, references, and the required affidavits and acknowledgments.
