Description
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, through its Division of Operations Services and Division of Parks and Trails, is requesting proposals from consulting engineering firms to provide construction administration, material sampling, testing, and inspection services for the Minnesota Valley State Trail Nine-Mile Segment. The approximately 2.2-mile multi-use pedestrian trail will include grading, aggregate base, bituminous surfacing, drainage structures, and an 81-foot prestressed concrete bridge with concrete parapet abutments and deep foundations. The selected firm must demonstrate project management experience in bridge and civil engineering construction and construction administration of Minnesota Department of Transportation State Aid projects. Construction inspection and material testing must be performed by technicians holding the appropriate Minnesota Department of Transportation technical certifications. Tree clearing is anticipated during winter 2026–2027, with construction planned for summer 2027.
