Description
Federal Prison Industries, La Tuna is issuing this solicitation for vehicle components, specifically multipurpose dry chemical fire extinguishers (5 lb capacity), fire stick fire extinguishers, and rubber straps for fire extinguisher brackets. The multipurpose dry chemical fire extinguishers must have an aluminum valve, be red in color, 16.0 inches in height, 4.5 inches in diameter, 5 pounds in size, with a discharge time of 13-15 seconds and an operating pressure of 195 PSI. They must have a UL rating of 3A, 40B, C and be equivalent to BSBM specifications. The fire stick fire extinguishers should be approximately 33cm tall with a body diameter of 3.2cm and a handle diameter of 4cm, weighing 360 grams, and must be equivalent to the Element E100 fire extinguisher. The rubber straps are for fire extinguisher brackets and must be equivalent to Amerex part (07166). Deliveries are expected to begin upon award and must be completed by July 24, 2026.
