The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking bids for armed and unarmed security guard services for the El Paso Psychiatric Center. The contract will cover services from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2029, with potential for a one-year extension. Services are required Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. (Mountain Standard Time), and on Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. (Mountain Standard Time). Contractors must provide guards who are certified, licensed, and qualified, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, including experience in a psychiatric hospital setting or with patients with mental illness. Guards must also have Crisis Prevention and Intervention Certification. The contract also requires adherence to various state and federal regulations, including insurance requirements and background checks for all personnel.
