Description
Fairfax County is soliciting proposals for evidence-based or evidence-informed programs, services, interventions, and strategies that prevent, treat, or reduce opioid use disorder or opioid misuse. Proposed activities should enhance or expand the County's opioid response rather than supplant existing funding, address populations with higher opioid overdose rates, and qualify as allowable uses of opioid settlement funds. Potential activities include wraparound and community support services, recovery and peer-support services, behavioral-health workforce development, connections to care, housing assistance, and support for families and community partners. Anticipated awards are generally $100,000 to $300,000 per year, with a minimum anticipated award of $100,000 per year. The initial contract term is two years with three optional one-year renewals. Proposals must include a technical proposal, cost proposal, performance measures and milestones, references, financial records, tax documentation, and an organizational chart, and must address direct-cost requirements and applicable opioid-abatement funding restrictions.
