Description
The Maryland Durable Medical Equipment Re-Use program is seeking a contractor to provide all labor, equipment, and transportation necessary to pick up gently used, sanitized, and repaired durable medical equipment from the program warehouse, deliver it to Maryland residents' residences or care facilities, set it up or install it, and provide user instruction. The contractor may be required to assemble and demonstrate hospital beds. Services must be performed by the contractor's own direct employees; subcontracting is prohibited. The contractor must use the Department's centralized scheduling dashboard, coordinate pickup and delivery scheduling, respond to reported problems within 48 business hours, and submit monthly invoices for the State's subsidized share. Clients pay 50% of each service occurrence directly to the contractor, while the Department subsidizes the remaining 50%. The solicitation requires at least three years of relevant experience, at least three client references, a written proposal, staff resumes, pricing, and specified State forms. The contract is an indefinite-quantity arrangement with fixed unit prices and a not-to-exceed total of $100,000 for the five-year term.
