Description
The University of Texas at Austin Physics Department is soliciting bids for one new, unused CNC fiber laser cutting system for precision fabrication of carbon-steel, stainless-steel, and aluminum research components. Refurbished, remanufactured, demonstration, prototype, and previously installed equipment will not be accepted unless authorized by amendment. The contractor must provide a complete, safe, operational system, including the machine, laser source, cutting head, controller, chiller, compressed-air package, fume extraction, delivery, rigging, installation, startup, calibration, functional and safety verification, training, documentation, warranty, maintenance information, and support. The bid must identify manufacturers and models, include all hardware, software, licenses, controls, cables, hoses, regulators, filters, valves, accessories, and safety devices, and disclose exceptions, deviations, assumptions, options, recurring fees, University-furnished items, and applicable delivery or other charges. The system must be suitable for installation and operation at the University's designated facility in Austin, Texas and meet the approved Site Acceptance Test and University Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
