Description
The U.S. Navy is soliciting a disk for a 5-inch hull and backup valve assembly in accordance with Naval Sea Systems Command drawings 845-7016098, Item 13, and 803-5959311. The disk must use EB Specification 2937 or ASTM B564, UNS N06625 material, with quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis, traceability, and certification. The requirement includes forging sketches and first-article testing, 100% ultrasonic testing, ultrasonic inspection before machining, dye penetrant inspection after final machining, alloy identity testing, thread inspection where applicable, and extensive quality-assurance documentation. The contractor must maintain an ISO 9001-based quality system, provide certificates of compliance and test certifications, submit required certification data through Wide Area Workflow before shipment, and obtain approval for applicable pre-manufacture test procedures. The solicitation is a total small-business set-aside and requires first-article testing.
