Description
The Department of the Navy is soliciting 15 one-inch in-line stop check valves manufactured in accordance with NAVSHIPS Drawing 2177934 and Assembly 803-2177934-C531AF. The valves are designated as Special Emphasis material for use in a crucial shipboard system and must meet specified material, dimensional, pressure-testing, nondestructive-testing, welding or brazing, identification, packaging, and marking requirements. The contractor must perform first-article testing and maintain a documented quality system meeting ISO 9001 with specified calibration controls or an approved alternate. The procurement requires extensive material traceability and chemical and mechanical certifications, test certifications, certificates of compliance, inspection records, and quality-assurance documentation. Certification data must be submitted through Wide Area Workflow for review and acceptance before each shipment; no material may be shipped before acceptance. NAVSUP WSS Mechanicsburg will consider past performance in evaluating offers.
