Description
The City of St. Joseph Police Department is soliciting pricing for an as-needed, 12-month purchase agreement for new, custom-fitted body armor and external carriers. The requested products include patrol armor and carriers, Level IIIA ballistic panels, identification panels and placards, cummerbunds, quick-release hardware, and related carrier accessories, along with heavier armor for a special response team, including SAPI plates, ballistic collar, shoulder, lower-abdomen/spine, and groin protection. Products must meet or exceed the stated NIJ Standard-0101.06 requirements and appear on the applicable NIJ compliant-products list. The successful supplier must take initial measurements at the Police Department within 72 hours of contact, perform alterations at no cost, package and deliver orders at no cost, and complete orders within 60 days of placement. Armor requires minimum five-year warranties for defects and ballistic performance. The supplier must maintain at least $1,000,000 in product-liability insurance per incident and submit an armor example, the model-specific NIJ Compliance Letter, proof of liability insurance, a completed W-9, and the required electronic response and bid-event certifications. The agreement anticipates approximately 20–30 units but guarantees no minimum quantity, with a possible additional 12-month extension.
