Description
The General Services Administration is conducting market research for comprehensive elevator maintenance and repair services across Service Delivery Area Zones 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. The anticipated requirement includes inspection, preventive maintenance, testing, cleaning, repairs, emergency service calls, emergency communication devices, lighting, documentation, and compliance with applicable elevator safety codes. Contractors must provide qualified journeyman elevator mechanics, supervisory personnel, labor, materials, parts, tools, equipment, and a national account representative. The draft work statement requires 24-hour, seven-day-per-week service-call availability, immediate response to entrapments with arrival within one hour, repairs generally completed within 24 hours, monthly preventive maintenance, maintenance and inspection records, quality-control reporting, and coordination with government inspectors. Subcontracting is limited to no more than 10 percent of the units. Interested businesses must complete the attached Sources Sought Questionnaire and provide information about relevant experience, business size, geographic coverage, subcontracting needs, manufacturer capabilities, response capability, and up to three relevant projects; this notice is for planning purposes only and is not a solicitation for proposals or bids.
