Description
Pierce County seeks an on-call general contractor to perform facility modifications, repairs, renovations, and other construction projects at court, office, and correctional facilities. Work may include carpentry, millwork, framing, drywall, doors and windows, demolition, excavation, masonry, roofing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and security or fire systems. Work will be assigned through individual work orders, with the contractor providing a written estimate and schedule for each assignment; the County does not guarantee a minimum amount of work. The initial contract amount is estimated at $500,000, with the County reserving the right to add funds. The initial term is one year, with an option to renew for one additional year. A 5% bid bond is required with the bid; the successful bidder must provide 100% payment and performance bonds. On-site personnel may need background checks and security clearances depending on the work location and security level.
