The Federal Highway Administration’s Western Federal Lands Highway Division plans to solicit a firm-fixed-price construction contract for repairs along 0.05 miles of Forest Road 7810. Work includes excavation, stream diversion, bank stabilization using timber piles and woody debris, planting alder or willow cuttings, erosion and sediment controls, construction surveying and staking, contractor quality control and testing, and temporary traffic control. A bird survey and environmental mitigation are also included. The project is a total small-business set-aside, with an estimated price range of $700,000 to $2,000,000. The solicitation is anticipated in spring 2027; the completion date is tentative and stated as fall 2027. The attached plans and project description are preliminary, and the exact completion date is to be provided in the eventual solicitation.
