Description
Jordan Basin Improvement District is soliciting bids for treatment chemicals used at the Jordan Basin Water Reclamation Facility. The requested products are aluminum sulfate 8.3% for phosphorus treatment; sodium hypochlorite at 10% and 5.25% concentrations for membrane-fiber cleaning and filamentous bacteria control; and 50% food-grade citric acid for membrane-fiber cleaning. Estimated annual quantities are 924,000 pounds of aluminum sulfate, 150,000 pounds of 10% sodium hypochlorite, 166,220 pounds of 5.25% sodium hypochlorite, and 4,176 gallons of citric acid. The awarded supplier must provide safe transportation, bulk-tanker or tote delivery, unloading, safety data sheets, shipping documentation, compliance affidavits, and technical assistance related to chemical storage, transportation, and use. Bidders may submit bids for any individual chemical, all chemicals, or any combination. The initial contract term is one year, with four one-year extension options, for a maximum term of five years.
