Description
The City seeks a private security contractor to patrol city-owned parks, trails, conservation lands, and public rights-of-way daily for 16 hours. The proposed staffing schedule is two officers from 4:00 p.m. to midnight and one officer from midnight to 8:00 a.m. The contractor must provide a clearly marked vehicle, maintain electronic logs of patrol stops and activities, and submit daily reports to designated City staff. Proposals must include hourly pricing for the regular patrol service and for additional security and vehicle support at prearranged City events outside the regular hours. The contractor must coordinate with City departments, police, service providers, and other stakeholders; demonstrate de-escalation, reporting, and relevant public-sector security experience; and ensure assigned personnel and the company meet applicable Montana licensing requirements. The scope also includes patrols along the right-of-way adjacent to the Poverello Center, with an MOU governing procedures on that property. Firearms are not required. The City is seeking proposals for an ongoing security need; insurance proof is required of the selected contractor.
