Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture seeks one multipurpose, configurable hybrid microscope for shellfish-development, harmful-algal-bloom, microbiology, and pathology research. The microscope must support both upright and inverted configurations, fit within an 18-inch-wide by 25-inch-deep footprint with less than 25 inches of vertical clearance, and support glass slides, oil immersion, histology, live fluid-filled samples, and well plates. Required capabilities include brightfield and phase-contrast imaging, upgrade capacity for fluorescence, magnification from 1.25x through 100x, PLAN lenses, and an included color camera optimized for true-color brightfield imaging without requiring a separate computer or screen. Quotations must identify the brand, make, and model or clearly identify an equal product and include descriptive literature demonstrating compliance with all salient characteristics. Delivery is required within 90 calendar days after award.
