Description
The City of Corcoran Department of Public Works is soliciting sealed construction proposals for the Equitable Health, Safety & Connectivity Project under the Active Transportation Program. The work includes clearing and grubbing; demolition; concrete sidewalks, drive approaches, curb and gutter, accessible curb ramps, valley gutters, bulb-outs, retaining curbs, asphalt pavement patches, aggregate base, fencing and gates, mailbox relocation, landscaping and irrigation, utility-box adjustments, street lighting and electrical improvements, signage, striping, pavement markings, traffic control, stormwater pollution prevention, dust control, and construction staking. The base bid covers improvements along Whitley and Patterson Avenues, with seven bid additives covering electrical improvements and construction staking plus work on Dairy, Orange, and Otis Avenues. The engineer's estimate is $1,649,407 for the base bid and $1,016,574 for Bid Additives 1 through 7 combined. Bidders must price every base-bid and additive item; award is based on the grand total, subject to the City's option to award fewer additives. The project requires a Class A or combination Class C contractor license, City business license, Department of Industrial Relations registration, a 10% bid security, and—if awarded—100% performance and payment bonds. The construction period is 90 calendar days, with a stated start date of December 1, 2026, and completion date of March 1, 2027.
