Description
Beaufort County’s Disabilities and Special Needs Department is soliciting a contractor to provide grounds maintenance and irrigation services at its administrative office and 11 residential homes. The scope includes mowing, blowing, trimming, edging, litter and debris removal, landscape and tree maintenance, pruning, weed control, mulching, fence-line maintenance, and irrigation-system inspections, operation, repairs, and replacement of worn parts. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and supervision, and must perform work Monday through Friday during daylight hours, generally between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The contract term is one year beginning July 1, 2027, with four one-year extension options. Bidders must submit a bid bond equal to at least 5% of the bid; the successful contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds. The solicitation also requires electronic completion of the Procurement Portal questionnaire and applicable small and minority business participation documentation, including outreach and utilization materials. Insurance requirements include workers’ compensation, commercial general liability, automobile liability, and umbrella liability coverage.
