SUNY Upstate Medical University intends to purchase Umano Medical bariatric and therapeutic beds, support surfaces, and related products through Vizient contract CE9216 under New York State's statutory authority for purchases from a consortium or comparable entity without a formal competitive process when justified by price. Vendors offering equivalent products may contact the designated procurement representative to discuss the procurement. Any proposed equivalent must meet the clinical performance of the Umano Medical products. Vendors offering an equivalent must provide supporting clinical documentation and equipment at no cost for examination, demonstration, and trial. Vendors must be authorized to sell the products listed on the Vizient contract or offer an approved equivalent. The successful contractor must submit valid and current New York State workers' compensation and disability forms. The procurement is subject to New York State lobbying-law contact restrictions.
