Description
The Barbados Water Authority is seeking quotations for 1,000 Diehl potable water meters measuring 3/4 inch/DN 20. The meters must be electronic, non-moving-parts meters suitable for outdoor use, with MID approval of at least R400, IP68 protection, integrated 434 MHz Open Metering System radio communication, mobile and long-range fixed-network reading capability, leakage and alarm detection, reverse-flow measurement, replaceable or suitably warranted batteries, and a minimum 10-year warranty. They must be lead-free, corrosion-resistant, suitable for Barbados's climatic and water conditions, capable of operating at pressures up to 232 psi, and compatible with AMR and AMI systems. The supplier must provide access radio keys or codes, tailpieces, required approvals and accredited laboratory test certifications, manufacturer inspection and testing support, test certificates, special maintenance tools, compliant packing and shipment protection, and any included spares. The quotation evaluation criteria include price, lead time, specification compliance, experience, and payment terms. A preferred brand is Diehl for integration with existing software.
