Description
The City of DeKalb is requesting statements of qualifications from qualified civil engineering firms to provide Phase 1 and Phase 2 preliminary engineering services for the rehabilitation of Annie Glidden Road. The scope includes data collection and surveying, environmental studies, permitting, preparation of applicable Illinois Department of Transportation forms, contract plans, specifications, special provisions, and cost and time estimates for a complete Plans, Specifications, and Estimate package. The project also includes pavement-section design and ADA/PROWAG-compliant pedestrian facilities at intersections. The roadway project extends approximately 1.5 miles from north of Lincoln Highway (Route 38), through the center of Northern Illinois University, to Dresser Road. Statements of qualifications are limited to 10 pages. Selection criteria include technical approach, firm experience, assigned staff and capabilities, proposed design team, and past performance; shortlisted firms will later be asked to submit proposals and participate in interviews.
