Description
The City of Geneva is soliciting construction bids to replace the water main and appurtenances on Anderson Boulevard and replace lead and galvanized water services at various locations in Geneva. The work includes associated water-service connections, permitting, inspections, and coordination with the City's Building Department and Plumbing Inspector. Addendum No. 1 clarifies permitting and inspection requirements for non-lead, lead, and galvanized water-service work, and establishes procedures for damage to existing lead or galvanized services. The contractor is responsible for acquiring required permits, scheduling inspections, documenting existing interior conditions before work, and completing emergency repairs and subsequent full replacements when contractor-caused damage occurs. Permit and inspection fees are paid by the City. The signed addendum acknowledgment must be included with the bid.
