Description
The U.S. Army is conducting a Request for Information regarding a potential acquisition of up to nine high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP)-hardened medium fixed satellite communications earth terminals. The anticipated terminals would operate in X-band with selective polarization and support production, installation, and sustainment. The government will perform installation with technical support from the supplier, and each delivery order may have up to a two-year delivery period. The anticipated production period is five years after contract award. The required capability includes RF/IF electronics, antenna and antenna-control systems, terminal monitoring and control, and HEMP-hardening measures for mission-critical antenna functions and shelter-to-antenna interfaces in accordance with MIL-STD-188-125-1A and MIL-STD-188-164C Change 2. Respondents must submit a white paper addressing their technical capabilities, relevant HEMP-hardened terminal experience, WGS certification status, business type, facility security clearance, and any applicable product literature. The RFI is for market research only and is not a solicitation for proposals.
