Description
Ferris State University is soliciting a professional service organization to provide comprehensive design services for the renovation and modernization of the approximately 67,400-square-foot, four-story Victor F. Spathelf Allied Health Building. The project will improve instructional, clinical, laboratory, faculty, administrative, and student-centered spaces supporting Dental Hygiene, Nursing, Radiography, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and related health-profession programs. The established total project budget is $29,500,000, including an estimated construction cost of $18,000,000 to $20,000,000; design and construction professional-services fees are to be proposed. The scope includes civil and landscape, structural, architectural, plumbing, mechanical, fire and life safety, electrical, building automation, information technology, audiovisual, security, signage, furniture/fixtures/equipment, acoustical, environmental, and hazardous-material coordination. Required services and deliverables include programming and conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding and negotiation support, construction administration, LEED Certified design, project closeout, as-built drawings, BIM Level 300 model creation and coordination, consultant and construction-manager coordination, marketing boards, renderings, and CSI Division 32 design-assumption narratives. The project is planned for multiple construction phases, with construction anticipated to begin in May 2028 and substantial completion anticipated in July 2030.
