Description
The City of Fort Myers Procurement Department intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Southport Truck Group for Freightliner heavy truck parts. The stated justification is that using another supplier would void the manufacturer warranty. This is a sole source notice rather than a formal solicitation, and responses will not be treated as bids, proposals, or quotes. Suppliers that believe they can provide the same type of product must submit product information and a statement of qualifications and/or capabilities through the vendor questionnaire. The notice specifically requires confirmation of capability and supporting information for a similar product. No submissions are required from suppliers that do not challenge the sole source designation.
