Description
The University of California, Santa Cruz is seeking qualifications from qualified design professional firms to provide programming and planning services for the Oakes College Housing Capital Improvements project. The scope supports predesign work for new construction, redevelopment, and renovation, including redevelopment of apartment housing to approximately 500 beds, expansion of residential halls to approximately 700 beds, renovation and reprogramming of the learning center, improvements to outdoor gathering spaces and accessible circulation, and utility upgrades needed to support the development. The project construction budget is approximately $275 million to $300 million, with completion targeted for fall 2032 and some beds potentially delivered earlier. The selected team will initially work under a three-year Professional Services Agreement, with up to two additional consecutive one-year extensions by mutual agreement; the team may later be eligible to continue into the design phase under an Executive Design Professional Agreement. Respondents must submit a Statement of Qualifications and other documentation using the University's standard forms.
