Description
The Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library is seeking proposals for Category 1 internet access at its Central Library. The service must provide at least 1 Gbps symmetric connectivity, with pricing for independent increases of 500 Mbps up to an additional 10 Gbps. The connection must include a contiguous /24 public address space, reverse DNS forwarding, no unauthorized caching or filtering, and a diagram of the proposed connection and internet backbone peering arrangements. The vendor must provide and install necessary equipment, cabling, connections, and power extensions through the library's router, identify all required equipment and ancillary software, and include complete pricing. Support requirements include local customer engineering support, telephone support 24 hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year, technician dispatch within four hours of a reported failure, hourly outage updates, and service credits for disruptions exceeding eight hours. Proposals must include line-item pricing, E-Rate eligibility details, two similar-client references with contact information, the vendor's E-Rate SPIN number, and a sample contract incorporating the stated E-Rate contingencies. The initial contract term runs from July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2030, with up to two voluntary one-year extensions.
