Description
The City seeks a contractor to purchase and take possession of wood pallets, accepting deliveries at the contractor’s off-site facility and providing pickup services at City locations. The contractor must handle pallets in good, repairable, and unsuitable condition, prioritizing reuse and repair before recycling or composting; landfill disposal is prohibited without written City authorization. The scope includes receiving roll-off loads, maintaining vehicle-accessible scales, assessing and documenting contamination, issuing transaction tickets, and providing pallet diversion and pricing reports. The contractor must describe its proposed recycling and waste-diversion methods in the bidder questionnaire. The agreement is for five years, beginning March 1, 2027, or on the effective date if later, with no extension options. Offers are submitted electronically through the City’s procurement portal. The solicitation requests completed forms and a pricing proposal, including prices paid for pallets and pickup charges.
