Description
Collier County seeks proposals from qualified individuals to provide additional Special Magistrate services for quasi-judicial hearings involving alleged violations of County codes and ordinances. The additional Special Magistrate will supplement existing services, help address the current case backlog, and provide capacity for timely assignment and disposition of future cases. The work includes reviewing testimony, evidence, case materials, and applicable law; conducting impartial hearings; making findings of fact; issuing orders and other required documents; and imposing administrative fines, costs, liens, and other noncriminal penalties authorized by law. The selected individual must possess the legal knowledge, professional experience, independence, and availability required to perform these services under applicable Florida law, County ordinances, and County requirements.
