Description
The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs is seeking a personal services contractor to serve as Deputy Law Enforcement Coordinator at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City. The position will supervise locally employed staff and third-party contractors; coordinate with U.S., Mexican, and international law enforcement organizations; and advise embassy and Department leadership on law enforcement enhancement programs. The contractor will plan, design, manage, monitor, and evaluate law enforcement training programs; prepare task orders, terms of reference, statements of work, procurement documentation, reports, and briefings; support contracting, grants, fraud-risk mitigation, and end-use monitoring activities; and report on law enforcement trends and program results. The position requires U.S. citizenship, a bachelor's degree or qualifying alternative experience, substantial sworn law-enforcement and management or training experience, Latin American law-enforcement experience, professional Spanish proficiency, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of State Secret security and medical clearance. The contract has a 12-month base period with four optional one-year extensions.
