Description
The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services is seeking qualified individuals to conduct assessments for agencies pursuing accreditation or reaccreditation through the New York State Law Enforcement Accreditation Program. Available roles include assessor, team leader, and compliance auditor. Duties include reviewing policies, procedures, files, and supporting documentation; interviewing agency personnel; observing agency operations; coordinating assessment teams; and preparing reports and recommendations for the Law Enforcement Accreditation Council. Applicants must meet specified law enforcement, accreditation-program, management, or prior-assessor experience requirements. Subcontracting is not permitted. Applications must include the completed Assessor Application, a current resume, and, for new team leader or compliance auditor applicants, a writing sample. Approved applicants may enter Consultant Services Agreements and remain on the assessor list during the five-year acceptance period, subject to program requirements and Council approval. Compensation is capped at $400 per day for assessors and $525 per day for team leaders or compliance auditors, with eligible travel reimbursement.
