Description
Waco Independent School District is soliciting an on-call contractor to provide as-needed refrigeration services throughout District facilities. The scope includes furnishing all necessary materials, labor, and equipment for repairs and preventive maintenance on walk-in freezers and coolers, stand-alone and pass-through refrigerators and freezers, ice machines, refrigerated salad bars, milk coolers, ice cream freezers, beverage dispensers, and table-top ice dispensers. Services also include repairing and installing locks on refrigeration units, ice machines, reach-ins, table tops, and walk-ins, and repairing and installing aluminum diamond flooring in walk-in coolers and freezers. The contract is an indefinite-quantity arrangement with a one-year initial term from November 1, 2026, through October 30, 2027, plus four additional renewal options if mutually agreeable. The awarded contractor must respond within three to four hours for emergencies and within 24 hours for non-emergencies, or as otherwise agreed with District staff. Pricing must include hourly labor, after-hours labor, materials markup, and equipment-rental markup. The solicitation evaluates price, experience and reputation, and quality of goods and services, including external references.
