Description
The Town of Ellington is purchasing two new vehicles for its Senior Center Transportation Program: one ADA-accessible, gasoline-powered wheelchair vehicle and one new gasoline-powered crossover SUV. Bidders may submit pricing for either vehicle or both, and each vehicle will be evaluated and awarded separately. The accessible vehicle must accommodate at least one wheelchair passenger and include a compliant ramp or lift, wheelchair securement and occupant restraint system, and required safety and accessibility features. Both vehicles must be model year 2026 or newer, have automatic transmissions, specified passenger capacities, standard safety equipment, and applicable manufacturer warranties; the accessible vehicle also requires an accessibility-conversion warranty and ramp or lift warranty. The total grant allocation for both vehicles is $99,778. Electronic bids must include the bid form, bidder qualification statement, evidence of insurance, non-collusion affidavit, non-discrimination certification, specifications with requested vehicle information, legal status disclosure, conflict-of-interest certification, and vehicle proposal identifying the manufacturer, model, model year, trim, and equipment. The bid must be submitted through the Town's procurement portal by October 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time. Delivery is required no later than December 18, 2026.
