Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through its Division of Abandoned Mine Lands, is soliciting construction services to address slide potential from a pre-law-related highwall affecting a home and approximately two acres. Work includes upgrading an existing drainage path with an under-road pipe and rehabilitated rock ditch, installing subdrain along the toe of the stabilized wall, replacing a removed carport and concrete pad, relocating utilities and structures as necessary, and repaving the access road as needed. The project also includes work at a nine-acre waste area, including handling dirt and rock debris, burning project trees within the designated area, filling and grading waste to promote positive drainage, and revegetating the site in accordance with abandoned-mine-land specifications. The expected disturbance area is approximately 2.6 acres. Bids must be submitted electronically through the Commonwealth's eProcurement system, with the Official Bid Document and any required Bid Bond combined into one PDF attachment.
