Description
The City of Cocoa is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for comprehensive rehabilitation of an owner-occupied single-family residence through the State Housing Initiatives Partnership program. The project is intended to improve housing conditions for low-income, elderly, and disabled residents. Work includes roof-covering replacement; electrical rewiring and panel, outlet, switch, GFCI, and bathroom-exhaust-fan upgrades; plumbing piping and bathroom fixture upgrades; door and window replacement or adjustment; flooring and baseboard replacement; smoke-detector installation; subterranean termite treatment and inspection; stucco repair, priming, and painting; and repair of moisture-damaged kitchen cabinetry. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, supervision, inspections, debris disposal, and coordination necessary to complete the work. Addendum 1 confirms that the contractor itself, rather than only its qualifying agent or project lead, must have the minimum three years of SHIP experience; no union labor is required; and itemized pricing by line item is preferred. No project budget or estimate is being disclosed.
