Description
Wayne County is soliciting a contractor for tree removal services throughout the county. The required crew includes one ground person, one tree-cutting person, a crew supervisor, an aerial bucket truck capable of reaching at least 60 feet, saws, ropes, safety equipment, fuel, and related equipment. The contractor must perform removals in accordance with NYSDOT Section 614 and applicable safety requirements, provide qualified line-clearance tree trimmers where electrical hazards exist, and use a licensed arborist for certain trimming or pruning work. Stump removal or grinding is not required; the County will provide traffic control, debris hauling, and cleanup. Pricing is requested for an eight-hour weekday daily crew and an eight-hour weekend or holiday emergency daily crew. Work on the annual tree list is expected to begin in January 2027 and be completed by April 17, 2027; emergency tree work will be issued as needed through December 31, 2027, with a possible one-year extension. The solicitation requires a sealed physical bid, insurance documentation, and several executed certifications and forms.
