Description
This firm-fixed-price design-build project will renovate the existing driving range at NSA Monterey. The work includes demolition and site development; architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, and landscape design; grading and utility improvements; relocation of practice areas; a two-story, 24-bay covered hitting structure with lighting and ceiling fans; a golf range technology system that tracks ball flight and supports interactive virtual golf; a new 440-square-foot range building; a 500-square-foot concession building with restrooms; a concrete cart-path extension; approximately 150 linear feet of high-impact range netting; and related permits, environmental controls, testing, commissioning, closeout, and as-built documentation. The total funds available are $3,941,943.22, and proposals over that amount may not be considered. The solicitation requires a technical proposal covering the design solution, qualifications and experience, and project execution method, plus a separate price proposal. Key personnel must include a project manager, architect/engineer of record, site superintendent, contractor quality-control chief, and site safety and health officer; the proposal must include relevant resumes and project experience, including experience integrating golf-range technology.
