Description
The City of New York Department of Environmental Protection is soliciting a competitive sealed bid for reconstruction of four cyclone degritter systems at the Bowery Bay Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility. The work includes demolition of four existing systems and installation of four new systems, each consisting of two cyclone degritters, one grit washer, a 3 HP motor, monitoring-panel interfaces to the existing motor control center, electrical conduit and wiring, instrumentation, and related components. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, mechanical and electrical installation, testing, calibration, commissioning, drawings, manuals, training, environmental health and safety controls, and final acceptance testing. The contract is for 618 consecutive calendar days and includes prevailing-wage requirements, a project labor agreement, a 7% total M/WBE participation requirement, New York State Department of Labor contractor registration, bid security, payment and performance bonds, insurance, and specified site-access and safety procedures. Bids must be submitted electronically through PASSPort; hard-copy submissions are not accepted.
