Description
The Orange County Fire Authority is soliciting bids for a public-works construction project to demolish and improve the existing bioswale at Fire Station 46. The scope includes removal of existing hardscape, landscape, and miscellaneous base; excavation and grading; subgrade preparation and compaction; crushed miscellaneous base; construction of a vegetated rock swale; installation of a sidewalk culvert; curb, gutter, and pavement restoration; grade adjustments; erosion control; and related work shown in the approved plans. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, permits, tools, and supplies. Bidders must hold a current California A, B, or C Specialty Contractor's License, maintain California Department of Industrial Relations registration, and have at least five years of similar experience. Prevailing-wage and labor-compliance requirements apply. A 10% bid bond is required with the bid; 100% performance and payment bonds are required from the awarded contractor. The estimated bid value is $120,000, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The contractor must submit a rough construction schedule, schedule of values, project approach, references, qualifications information, bid forms, and required disclosures. Work is expected to occur Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with weekly in-person project-status meetings unless otherwise approved.
